Thanksgiving 2014

We hosted our first Thanksgiving this year. I had fun decorating the table and Shea was proud of how his turkey came out with his butterflied method. We all got to sit around the table and had a nice time visiting and filling our bellies. Shea and I are most thankful for all our wonderful family and friends.

My pretty table. Shea even re-upholstered the chairs for me.

Watching cartoons waiting for their guest to arrive

He cut it up and then made it look like a turkey again.

The boys at their table and yes Cruz is having pizza. I thought I was the worlds most pickiest eater until Cruz came along.

We all fit around our table it was really nice.

The boys got quite attached to cousin Jennifer

Random pics from the past few months

Cruz in his new big boy bed. Caden wanted to try it out too.

What little cutie pies

Practicing flag football with Grandpa. Cruz will play this spring and starts practice with his team in February. It is a no tackle flag football the kids just run around trying to rip off each others flags. I think this is something Cruz will have fun with and Grandpa already bought him a football and flag belt to start practicing with.

and still sporting the Police hat.

Awww nice weather means park time again. The boys love getting to meet up with their cousins.

Time to do some work with Grandpa

Caden thought this looked like a good spot for a nap. He really feel asleep and was still pushing the button to make the quad go. He drove himself to sleep.

Cruz thought towing his brother would be great

Cruz's 1st School Field Trip

In October Cruz went on his first school field trip with his Pre-K class. I forgot to add it to our October Fun post. Cruz and Shea headed up to Yucaipa to an apple orchard where Cruz got to learn all about how to make apple juice.  He also got to pick an apple and then they surprised the kids and let them all go into a pumpkin patch and pick out a pumpkin for Halloween.

October Fun 2014

We had a fun filled October with lots of arts & crafts, a monster truck show, trick-or-treating, pumpkin carving and more trick-or-treating.
We headed out to The Living Desert the weekend before Halloween where the boys got to see the train they love, go trick-or-treating and had some bounce house fun. I however had to do a bounce house rescue for a scared Caden and on our departure down the huge slide I landed right on my tush. I was sore for a couple days but at least the crowd got a good laugh.

Snack Break

The boys got hot and changed into shorts and looked like little bike cops.

Cruz was stoked about his ring prize for pumpkin bowling

The boys with all their art projects

The boys had their choice of pumpkin patch or monster truck show and as you can see the monster truck show won.

It was a huge dust fest and super long but the boys had fun. I think I will let this be a boys thing from now on. Too much dust for me.

They got to check out the monster trucks up close.

Cruz having fun gutting the pumpkin

All ready to go Trick-or-Treating

Shea couldn't resist dressing up this year. When he heard the boys wanted to be Police Officers he knew he had to be their prisoner. He told everyone he was in for 18-22 year depending on college.

We went trick-or-treating at The Living Desert again (it was free both times we went because we are members. Awesome!) After that we did a quick stop by our friend Marks to see his Halloween decked out house (it was like the Griswold's but for Halloween) Then we headed home for some door to door trick-or-treating around our neighborhood. Cruz said going door to door was his favorite.  Unfortunately my camera was acting up and none of my nighttime pics came out good except for the one above.

Our Summer Vacation 2014

We had a wonderful two week vacation in Oceanside. We had lots of fun in the sun and made great memories. I went a little crazy with taking pictures so warning there are a lot.
We got to visit with Grandma GG upon arrival. A great way to start off vacation.

The boys loved their wagon rides

Caden's favorite thing to do on the beach was nap.

Cruz had so much fun being buried in the sand

The boys couldn't get enough of the Big Wheel riding

Water gun time. Caden shot a group of three people walking by on their way to the beach. I couldn't believe it he just took them all down with the water gun.  LOL  Luckily they were not upset.

A walk to the playground

Cruz getting buried again

And Caden napping again

A visit from Nana & Papa Keith was nice

Sweet pic. and yes Caden napping again

Caden showing me his snack. Snacking was his second favorite thing to do on the beach.

Shea took Caden out for a day of fun while Cruz wasn't feeling good.

Cruz was feeling better so we took a walk to the pier

The boys had fun on the putting course

Cruz had a little bunny visitor

Some beach time with Grandpa

Going in the ocean and playing in the waves was by far Cruz's favorite thing to do.

Caden's turn to get buried.

And that lead to a nap.

The boys found a big hole on the beach and claimed it as theirs

Such a cutie

Getting a little chilly time for their super hero sweaters

One of the many beautiful sunsets we got to see

A walk to see the seals at the harbor

A little R/C car fun

I risked waking them up with the flash but had to take this sweet pic.

Cruz thought the flower beds made great construction sites too

But of course another beach nap

And another beach snack

The boys made a big mud castle and mud pits for their trucks

It was nice just relaxing and spending time together.

Caden taking a little break

At the end of our vacation Cruz met a little girl named Olivia. After that hanging out with Olivia was all he wanted to do.

It was so adorable to watch them play. They held hands and Cruz even gave her a little hug and kiss.
